Food is Lisa Thompson’s and Rosie Dicker’s domain, creating delicious meals using locally sourced ingredients from the larder that is Lincolnshire, with fruit and veg from the flat lands of the south, meat grown using the highest welfare standards on the Wolds and fresh fish landed at the port of Grimsby with its historical fish market and artisan smokeries.
Integral to the Marris Barn experience is the harmony of good food with Mindfulness and Art. With the emphasis on wholesome ingredients packed with flavour, Rosie Dicker creates memorable dishes that are as nourishing to the mind as food is to the body. From sour cherry granola to damson fruit compote, freshly baked sourdough and Rosie’s fruit and nut breakfast bread. Bowls of brightly coloured salads brought to life with vibrant flavours of oil, seeds, citrus and a little imagination. Piquant stuffed and baked delights topped with herbs and crumbs accompanied with beautiful sides of garden Vegetables. Sweet treats delightful and light, elegant and just enough to serve one’s need for pudding.
Rosie combines her artistic backround with a wealth of culinary experience and appreciation for natural taste and truthful flavours.
